Sporting Equipment

Eligible sports gear (golf bags, skis, snowboards, hockey gear, fishing tackle) can substitute for a standard checked bag under baseline baggage fees. Non-motorized bicycles, scuba gear, surfboards (max length 5 feet), and items measuring 63 to 80 linear inches incur a mandatory $100 oversized equipment fee. Gear exceeding 50 lbs triggers graduated overweight fees ($25 for 51–60 lbs / $50 for 61–70 lbs / up to $125 for 91–99 lbs). Equipment over 100 lbs or 80 linear inches is not accepted.

Musical Instruments

Small instruments travel in the cabin as an overhead bag ($35–$50 fee, max 24" x 16" x 11" and 35 lbs) or free if fitting under the seat. Bulky instruments can travel in the cabin by purchasing a ticketed seat with prior reservation. Instruments checked into the hold require a rigid, hard-sided flight case and travel under standard baggage fees; overweight or oversize fees apply if exceeding 50 lbs or 62 linear inches.

Valuable & Fragile Electronics

Laptops, cameras, and drones must travel in cabin carry-on allocations. Loose lithium-ion batteries and standalone power banks are prohibited in checked storage holds. Televisions and desktop monitors checked into the hold carry no airline transit liability and require a signed release form at check-in.

Carrier Liability & Seasonal Limits

Domestic liability is capped at $3,800 USD under DOT rules. Bags weighing 100 lbs or more or measuring over 80 linear inches are denied carriage; Sun Country operates freight exclusively for Amazon Air and offers no public passenger cargo service. Flights to or from Canada, Jamaica, and Puerto Rico enforce a strict maximum weight ceiling of 70 lbs (32 kg) per checked piece.
