Musical Instruments

Small sports gear (golf bags, skis, snowboards) is exempt from oversized fees up to 115 linear inches (292 cm) and counts toward standard baggage allowances. One boot bag travels free alongside skis or snowboards when packed together. Bicycles incur a flat $50 CAD/USD handling fee and are accepted up to 70 lbs (32 kg) and 115 linear inches. Surfboards incur a $50 CAD/USD handling fee with a maximum length of 80 inches (203 cm). Overweight or oversized luggage costs $100 to $120 CAD/USD; if a bag is both overweight and oversized, only a single fee is charged. Items over 70 lbs (32 kg) are not accepted.

Valuable & Fragile Electronics

Small instruments travel free in the cabin as carry-on if under 21.5 x 15.5 x 9 in (55 x 40 x 23 cm) and light enough to store in overhead bins. Instruments exceeding carry-on limits can travel in the cabin on a purchased extra seat at a 50% discount off standard published fares. Instruments checked into the cargo hold require a rigid, hard-shell flight case; items exceeding 62 linear inches or 50 lbs incur standard excess fees up to a maximum checked weight of 99 lbs (45 kg).

Carrier Liability & Seasonal Limits

Laptops, cameras, and drones must travel in cabin carry-on allocations. Spare lithium-ion batteries and standalone power banks are prohibited in checked luggage. Smart luggage with non-removable batteries is barred from carriage. Fragile electronics or televisions checked in the hold carry no airline transit liability and require a signed limited-release waiver at check-in.
